Partnering with incarcerated mothers returning to the Peoria area

Project Return:

• Is a faith-based prison re-entry program for incarcerated mothers of minor children returning to the Peoria, Illinois, area.
   
• Matches the returning mother with a 3-5 member Partnership Team of trained and supervised volunteers from local congregations.
   
• Partnership Teams assist with finding jobs, housing, food, clothing, counseling, education, childcare, transportation and other needs for one year.
   
• Partnership Teams are allies, partners and advocates in the journey back into the community.
   
• is FREE.
   

Project Return is right for you if:

• You are a mother of children under 18 yrs, returning to the Peoria, Illinois, area.
   
• You have accepted full responsibility for your bad choices and the pain you have caused.
   
• You are committed to a lifetime of recovery from any addictions.
   
• You are ready to set reasonable and realistic goals for the future.
   
• You are ready to work to achieve those goals.
   
• You realize that you will need some help adjusting to your new life.
   

Project Return Process:

• Fill out an application available from the counseling department.
   
• Mail completed application to Project Return at the address on the bottom of the application.
   
• If your application is accepted you will receive a personal interview; your references and record will be checked.
   
• If you are chosen to be placed in a Partnership Team you will begin meeting with a Project Return staff member before your outdate to prepare you for the Partnership Team.
