Project Return of Peoria Partnering with incarcerated mothers A Mission of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church; |
SERVES:
- Incarcerated mothers returning to the Peoria area
SERVICES REQUIRE:
- Application
- Personal interview
- Partnership Team approval
PARTNERSHIP TEAM:
- 3-5 trained and supervised volunteers from local congregations who partner with the returning mother for one year.
- Allies and advocates who meet monthly to share, care and support the returning mother as she re-enters the community
SERVICES:
- FREE — Team provides help with finding housing, employment, childcare, counseling, education and other needs
FUNDING SOURCES:
- Mission support and grants from churches
- Donations from individuals
- Grants from foundations and endowments
LEADERSHIP:
- Oversight committee with members from Zion and partner congregations
STAFF:
